Opening the Door
The Opening the Door project aims to support people with disability to achieve choice and control with their housing options. The project is for all people with disability regardless of their type of disability or age, and whether they are a participant in the NDIS or not. Affordable housing
Affordable rental housing is managed by not-for-profit community housing providers, and/or by private organisations. People on low to moderate incomes can apply, you do not have to be eligible for social housing.

People With Disability Australia provides information and advice about your housing rights in New South Wales. This service provides information and advice to people living in Specialist Disability Accommodations (SDAs) or Supported Independent Living (SIL) in NSW, their supporters and accommodation providers. NDIS Housing Advice Line
The Housing Hub has a free NDIS Housing Advice Line that has been established to support you and your supporters to understand NDIS home and living options, access information about home and living supports, receive information on the process to apply for NDIS home and living supports, when you call the NDIS Housing Advice Line you will speak to an NDIS housing specialist who will be able to understand your specific needs and connect you with further information or resources as required.

The private rental subsidy assists people to access affordable accommodation in the private rental market. It provides individuals medium-term accommodation until an offer of social housing can be made.
