If you’re a learner living with disability, get in touch with a Disability Teacher Consultant before you enrol. Disability Teacher Consultants provide a range of services for those living with disability. Your Disability Teacher Consultant can provide referrals to other TAFE NSW support services such as counselling services, and careers development services.

To get started, speak with a Disability Teacher Consultant today. Call 131 601 and choose option 5.

Rise Program

RISE is a specialised sensory program designed for young people aged 17 – 25 with moderate to severe Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder or Physical / Intellectual Disability.
The RISE programs are tailored and aim to provide young people with disability the learning skills and independence to confidently transition from a school environment into the next phase of their life.

When you turn 15 you can have your own Medicare card. You use this card to access health services paid for by the Australian government.

NSW Photo Card

NSW Photo Card

The NSW Photo Card provides photo identification for people who do not hold a current NSW driver licence or other form of photo identification. This card is available free of charge for young people who have a current Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink (e.g. Disability Support Pension).

Gig Buddies

Gig Buddies Sydney is an initiative of ACL Disability Services which is a registered Not For Profit organisation committed to promoting the rights of people with learning disabilities to live the lifestyle of their choosing.

Gig Buddies pairs volunteers with mutual interests to people with disability to go to events together. You can sign up if you are an adult (18 years and older) with mild to moderate learning disability and/or autism, who wants to make new friends and do fun stuff.
